It’s Nice to Meet You

I’m Lauren Allen. You can call me Lou.

Since childhood I have given a lot of attention to my spirituality. I was raised in the Christian tradition (as most Americans are) and was taught to study my Bible. In college, I took a World Religions class on the recommendation of a friend, and it was then that I learned just how diverse and still interconnected the belief systems of the world actually are. That was the spark that ignited my individual spiritual journey.

Simple curiosity started my exploration; old wounds that demanded healing kept me moving forward. I adopted yoga and meditation after suffering through postpartum depression. I sought energy healers when I found trauma trapped in my body. I added therapy to untangle challenging life circumstances. When I began healing the pain of lost loved ones, of childhood suffering, of the abuse I was still undergoing in my relationships - it was then that my psychic self emerged.

I was graced with a wonderful mentor and friend in Gina Scarpino. She unearthed pieces of me that I may not have discovered otherwise, and she taught me how to do what I know I was meant to do in this life: offering healing to anyone who seeks it.
